Responsibilities

• Perform and evaluate a variety of technical procedures accurately.
• Utilize accepted quality control techniques using manual, semi-automated, or automated methodologies and equipment.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures and assist in other laboratory activities as requested.
• Perform Section Head Duties when the Section Head is unavailable.
• Provide direct care to patients across various age brackets including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Requirements

• BS degree in Medical Technology or equivalent with proper certification by the Board of Registry (ASCP) or NCA.
• Previous experience as a medical technologist is required.
• Florida State License as Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Supervisor is required.
