About the position

The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician role at Mercy involves performing and interpreting complex laboratory analyses on patient specimens. Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret analysis on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques.
• Provide medical staff with information to aid in patient diagnosis.
• Ensure duties are performed in accordance with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a major acceptable to a certification agency for MLT (for Medical Laboratory Technician).
• MLT ASCP or equivalent certification/registration (for Medical Laboratory Technician).
• Associate degree with MLT ASCP certification and 3 years clinical experience (for Medical Technologist I).
• Bachelor's degree and MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification required (for Medical Technologist II).
