About the position

Lake Main Campus is seeking a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician to join the Blood Bank team, working night shifts on a 7-on/7-off schedule. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate processing and analysis of blood samples, contributing to patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and procedures in the Blood Bank.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Adhere to safety and quality control protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide timely results.

Requirements

• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT).
• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in blood banking or transfusion services.
• Knowledge of laboratory information systems.
