About the position

We are a leading medical facility in Brooklyn, urgently seeking a skilled Hematology Technologist to join our overnight team. Our state-of-the-art laboratory is at the forefront of medical innovation, and we need your expertise to continue delivering exceptional patient care. As an Overnight Hematology Technologist, you will be a vital part of our laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Performing critical hematology tests with precision and urgency
• Reading slides and reading the different red/white blood cell counts
• Responsible for QC being run and correct
• Validating any abnormalities from slides
• Doing urinalysis microscopy

Requirements

• NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) by ASCP or equivalent
• Able to work independently and efficiently during overnight hours
• Professional experience working in hematology
• Comfortable reading slides/ performing manual differentials
