About the position

The Medicare Sales Field Agent position at Humana involves building community relationships and driving self-generated sales in the Medicare market. This role requires face-to-face interactions with prospective members, educating them about individual health plan products and other services offered by Humana. The position is designed for motivated individuals who can work independently while meeting sales goals and metrics. Agents will engage with customers through various channels, including virtual and telephonic interactions, and will participate in community events to promote Humana's offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Build community relationships to drive self-generated sales.
  • Meet sales goals and metrics while working independently.
  • Interact with Humana's customers and external business partners through face-to-face, virtual, and telephonic interactions.
  • Conduct grassroots marketing and field sales community events.
  • Visit prospects in their homes to educate them on health plan products.

Requirements

  • Active Health Insurance license or ability to obtain prior to the start date.
  • Experience with technology, including high-level use of laptops and mobile applications, and understanding of CRM tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to have daily face-to-face interactions with prospective members in the field.
  • A clear and valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Active Life and Variable Annuity Insurance license.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Prior experience with TEAMS and PowerPoint.
  • Experience engaging with the community through service and volunteerism.
  • Experience selling Medicare products.
  • Bilingual with the ability to speak, read, and write in both English and another language without limitations.
