About the position

The Medicare Sales Field Agent position at Humana involves building community relationships and driving self-generated sales in the Medicare population. This role requires licensed, motivated individuals who can work independently while meeting sales goals through various interactions, including face-to-face, virtual, and telephonic engagements. Agents will educate beneficiaries on health plan products and additional services, contributing to the overall mission of putting health first in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Build community relationships to drive self-generated sales.
  • Meet sales goals and metrics while working independently.
  • Interact with customers, external business partners, and the community through various channels.
  • Conduct face-to-face marketing and field sales community events.
  • Visit prospects in their homes to sell individual health plan products.

Requirements

  • Ability to have daily face-to-face interactions with prospective members in the field.
  • Active Health Insurance license or ability to obtain prior to the start date.
  • Experience with technology, including high-level use of laptops and mobile applications, and understanding of CRM tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Outlook.
  • Valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with specified limits.
  • Minimum recommended internet speeds of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.

Nice-to-haves

  • Active Life and Variable Annuity Insurance license.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Prior experience with TEAMS and PowerPoint.
  • Experience engaging with the community through service and volunteerism.
  • Experience selling Medicare products.
  • Bilingual with the ability to communicate in English and another language without limitations.
  • Prior experience in public speaking and presentations.
