About the position
As a Medication Aide, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of residents by coordinating their medication-related care. This position involves collaboration with various departments, medical professionals, families, and administrative staff to meet residents' needs while adhering to the community's scope of practice and licensure requirements. You will oversee the medication room, manage medication administration techniques, and ensure proper documentation and supervision of care related to medications.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate Resident Care related to medications by collaborating with all departments and the medical community.
- Supervise the medication room and ensure adherence to medication pass techniques.
- Document medication administration and maintain accurate records.
- Provide supervision and provision of care related to medication in the community.
Requirements
- Valid medication aide certification or licensure as required by the community.
- Experience in a healthcare or assisted living environment is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of medication management and safety protocols.
