About the position
The Medication Aide/Tech position involves administering or assisting with the self-administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers. The role requires observing and reporting responses to supervisors, maintaining an organized medication supply room, assisting with medication audits, and coordinating with pharmacies for medication delivery. This position is essential in ensuring the safe and effective management of medications in compliance with state regulations and required training/certification.
Responsibilities
- Administer or assist with self-administration of medication and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Observe and report responses to supervisors.
- Ensure the medication supply room is organized and clean.
- Assist with medication cart audits and provide accurate counts of all medications.
- Communicate with pharmacies to coordinate medication delivery.
Requirements
- Completion of required training/certification as per state regulations.
- Certification as a Medication Aide/Tech.
