About the position

The Meeting & Events Planner - Hybrid at SourceAmerica is responsible for overseeing the planning, management, and execution of various events, ensuring they are delivered with high customer service, within budget, and meet established goals. This role is integral to connecting a network of Non-Profit agencies with federal procurement opportunities, contributing to the employment of individuals with disabilities across the nation. The position requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in event management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage event-specific forecasts and budgets, ensuring events are executed under/on budget.
• Establish event goals and measurement tactics and provide post-event analysis of results.
• Coordinate all onsite logistical aspects of SourceAmerica's Xforce conference, including set-up requirements, move-in and tear-down instructions, and onsite troubleshooting.
• Support ASL Interpreter requests.
• Other responsibilities will be assigned as organizational needs arise.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience (1.5 years of experience = 1 year of college).
• Event Planning and Event Management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Well-organized with excellent multi-tasking abilities.
• Outstanding vendor management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including grammar and proofreading skills.
• Flexible schedule and some travel required during certain time periods.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or similar business application systems.
