About the position

This position supports the Meetings and Event group at Great Clips, focusing on the planning and execution of corporate meetings and events. The role involves leading various events, managing communications, and ensuring smooth operations for both in-person and virtual formats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management and hospitality, with a focus on building relationships and providing excellent service to franchisees and corporate staff.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of assigned company meetings and events including New Franchisee Training and off-site department meetings.
  • Partner with the Meetings & Events team on major company events to ensure smooth operations and attendee satisfaction.
  • Manage and develop expertise on the event registration system and other assigned technology platforms.
  • Coordinate the site selection process, including creating RFPs, sourcing properties, and scheduling site visits.
  • Manage event communications, including documentation and participant updates via inSite and event master calendars.
  • Attend all assigned events and assist with on-site execution, including registration and session support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in the meeting and events/hospitality industry.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional interactions.
  • Proficiency in application software in a Windows environment, such as Word and Excel.
  • Comfort with file sharing programs like Teams, OneDrive, and Sharepoint.
  • Technology savvy with the ability to learn new programs and troubleshoot challenges.
  • Knowledge of Cvent and Aventri preferred.
  • Experience with virtual event execution, particularly with Zoom.
  • Understanding of food and meeting trends, event coordination, and travel management.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally and manage physical tasks related to events.
