About the position

The Member Account Representative at Royal Credit Union is a full-time role focused on providing exceptional service to members by processing transactions, opening new accounts, and assisting with consumer loan applications. The representative is responsible for building relationships with members, demonstrating electronic services, and resolving inquiries efficiently while embodying the organization's core values. This position also involves mentoring team members and supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing member satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process member transactions as requested.
• Open new accounts and process consumer loan applications.
• Provide basic financial counseling for members.
• Build relationships by meeting and exceeding member needs with Royal's products and services.
• Demonstrate electronic services and resolve member inquiries or issues.
• Assist with mentoring and training of team members.
• Support NPS (Net Promoter Score) initiatives by providing exceptional service.

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience.
• Experience working in financial services with knowledge of deposit and consumer loan products.
• Strong sense of customer service and interviewing skills.
• Ability to learn, retain, and recall information quickly.
• Work productively in a team environment with high levels of interruption.
• Compassionate and enjoy assisting people with problems.
• Ability to produce accurate and high-quality materials and data entry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Basic skills using smartphones/tablets.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in financial services including new accounts and loan processing.
• Cash handling experience.
• Associate degree in a business-related field.
