About the position

The Member Advisor I at iQ Credit Union is responsible for providing exceptional service to members through in-branch transactions, account management, and lending. This role focuses on educating members about products and services to enhance their financial wellbeing, while also opening new accounts and establishing lending relationships. The position emphasizes a commitment to member service and operational excellence within a supportive and positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service with in-branch member transactions and account relationships.
• Educate members on products and services to improve their financial wellbeing.
• Open new accounts and develop new relationships with members using Member Onboarding strategy.
• Cross-sell Credit Union services effectively.
• Meet specific performance objectives in member service and operations.
• Assist members with inquiries or problems regarding their accounts, including research and error correction.
• Handle direct, phone, or written inquiries from members or staff promptly and efficiently.
• Perform audits for Xpress, Tickler, ATM, and Notary services.
• Process and balance ATM deposits as necessary.
• Reconcile ATM general ledger accounts and update member status as appropriate.
• Actively participate in branch activities and sales meetings to achieve service and sales goals.
• Support the service and sales environment within the branch based on the Credit Union's Vision, Mission, and Operating Principles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in a similar role or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of Credit Union services and products.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with general ledger reconciliation.
• Knowledge of information security practices.
