About the position

The Member Experience Associate at the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit is responsible for providing exceptional service to members, prospective members, and guests. This role emphasizes excellent communication and customer service skills to uphold the member experience standards, contributing positively to the community through the YMCA's mission of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to members and guests through greeting, managing and addressing member concerns, and answering phones.
• Maintains a neat, organized work area while engaging with members and families as you direct them to programs and activities.
• Builds a positive first impression with a warm smile and personal greeting for all who encounter the YMCA by upholding the YMCA core values.
• Performs other assigned duties as directed by Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (18+ years of age).
• Experience in customer service, preferably in a busy atmosphere.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Typing knowledge.
• Friendly, outgoing, accurate, neat, dependable, and a self-starter.
