About the position

The Member Experience Specialist (MES) at VASA Fitness plays a crucial role in delivering a fun and meaningful experience to members and guests during every visit. This position is centered around creating personal connections, ensuring that every interaction is positive and uplifting. The MES is responsible for greeting members and guests with a friendly demeanor, maintaining a clean and organized club environment, and addressing any issues that arise in a timely manner. The role requires adherence to operational standards to ensure that VASA Fitness remains a welcoming and supportive community for all members. In addition to providing exceptional customer service, the MES team is tasked with creating a great first impression of VASA Fitness. This includes selling memberships, driving upgrades, and conducting tours for guests and members. The MES must be knowledgeable about membership plans, pricing, amenities, and class formats to effectively assist members and guests. A key aspect of the role is to anticipate the needs of guests and members, providing clear direction and accurate information while utilizing the tools and technology available. The MES is also responsible for executing daily responsibilities to meet VASA's high standards. This includes following check-in processes, completing daily cleaning tasks, restocking merchandise, and processing sales. The MES is encouraged to share member feedback with leadership and collaborate with the team to implement ideas that enhance the overall guest and member experience. This position is not just about maintaining the club; it’s about fostering a community where lives are changed through authentic connections and support.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a fun and meaningful experience to members and guests during every visit.
  • Greet members and guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Anticipate guest and member needs and respond accordingly with clear direction and accurate information.
  • Be knowledgeable about membership plans, pricing, amenities, and class formats.
  • Conduct club tours following the Guest to Member Journey.
  • Sell memberships and assist members in upgrading their plans.
  • Book personal training consultations and sign members up for personal training.
  • Execute daily responsibilities to VASA's high standards, including check-in processes and daily cleaning tasks.
  • Restock merchandise and process REVIVE sales.
  • Share member feedback with leadership and collaborate with the team to improve the guest and member experience.

Requirements

  • Must have a genuine and kind attitude when interacting with guests and members.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and energetic demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear direction and accurate information.
  • Familiarity with membership plans, pricing, and amenities offered by VASA Fitness.
  • Experience in customer service or a related field is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in a fitness or customer service environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of fitness trends and class formats is beneficial.
