About the position

The Member Experience Specialist (MES) at VASA Fitness is responsible for creating a welcoming and engaging environment for members and guests. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, facilitating membership sales, and ensuring the gym is clean and well-organized. The MES plays a crucial role in making a positive first impression and fostering connections within the community.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and members with a friendly demeanor and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Create personal connections with members and guests to enhance their experience.
• Report any issues or problems in a timely manner to ensure member satisfaction.
• Organize gym equipment and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Conduct club tours for potential members and provide information on membership plans and amenities.
• Sell memberships and assist members with upgrades and personal training consultations.
• Collect and share member feedback with leadership to improve the overall experience.
• Execute daily operational standards and responsibilities, including check-in processes and merchandise restocking.

Requirements

• 1+ year of customer service experience in retail, restaurants, or a similar service industry.
• 1+ year of experience working in a team environment.
• 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
• Strong verbal communication skills and professionalism.
• Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision.
• Personal interest in health, wellness, fitness, and nutrition.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual preferred but not required.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.
