About the position

The Member of Technical Staff - Android Engineer will play a crucial role in developing the next generation of capabilities for the personalized AI assistant, Copilot. This position requires a highly effective individual who brings positive energy and empathy to the team, while focusing on building world-class consumer experiences in a fast-paced environment. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Design, and AI Research, to enhance the core experience of Copilot on Android and iOS platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience developing mobile applications for the Android platform with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Kotlin, Objective-C, or Java, OR equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of mobile application architecture, design patterns, and UI/UX principles.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Kotlin, Objective-C, or Java, OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Kotlin, Objective-C, or Java, OR equivalent experience.
• Contribution to open-source projects.
• Building iOS applications from scratch.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers.
• Passion for learning new technologies and staying up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in mobile development and AI.
• Proven ability to collaborate and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment, fostering knowledge sharing and growth within the team.
