About the position

The Member Onboarding Specialist at Credit Union of Colorado is primarily responsible for providing exceptional member service with a focus on digital accounts and membership within the Account Origination System. This role involves onboarding new members, enriching existing member relationships, and ensuring a high level of service through various communication channels. The specialist will utilize their knowledge of the credit union's products and services to recommend tailored solutions that meet members' financial goals while adhering to service level agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Process new membership and account queues, including phone and digital applications.
  • Maintain a high level of service and professionalism to members at every touchpoint.
  • Communicate with members through multiple channels regarding application status and account conditions.
  • Engage members by asking insightful questions to identify their needs and recommend tailored products.
  • Execute attention to detail and active listening skills during every interaction.
  • Manage and follow up on new membership and account pipeline while processing applications.
  • Collaborate with peers and support other departments to meet organizational goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of credit union products and programs to ensure quality service.
  • Demonstrate call control and empathy during member interactions.
  • Provide personalized member service and ensure member satisfaction.
  • Assume various roles and responsibilities as needed in the department.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to the credit union.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a Credit Union or financial services organization.
  • Demonstrated analytical, accuracy, and problem-solving skills in a high-volume work environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience communicating with members in a remote fashion (inbound or outbound calls, email, or chat).
  • Familiarity with Symitar systems.
