About the position
The Member Payment Representative I at Blaze is responsible for providing timely and accurate support to both internal and external customers. This role involves processing various member transactions, including transaction processing, draft clearing, and mobile deposit reviews, while maintaining a friendly and positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Receive and respond to branch staff, administrative staff, and member requests to resolve account issues.
- Process mail transactions for deposits and loan payments.
- Process Draft Stop Payment requests and official check stop payment requests.
- Process return deposit items.
- Process Foreign Items.
- Assist internal staff through support phone line.
- Review items for remote deposit capture.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and the Patriot Act.
- Exhibit Blaze's 5A culture - Ambassador, Achievement, Ambition, Ability and Attitude.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support effective department operation.
Requirements
- High School degree or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in payment processing in a bank or credit union.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to give and obtain information, as well as advise or refer as needed.
- Ability to complete simple math skills.
- Understanding of banking computer systems.
- Ability to enter data with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills.
