About the position
The Member Payment Representative I at Blaze Credit Union is responsible for providing timely and accurate support to both internal and external customers. This role involves processing various member transactions and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while maintaining a friendly and positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Receive and respond to branch staff, administrative staff, and member requests to resolve account issues.
- Process mail transactions for deposits and loan payments.
- Process Draft Stop Payment requests and official check stop payment requests.
- Process return deposit items.
- Process Foreign Items.
- Assist internal staff through support phone line.
- Review items for remote deposit capture.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support effective department operation.
Requirements
- High School degree or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in payment processing in a bank or credit union.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to give and obtain information, as well as advise or refer as needed.
- Ability to complete simple math skills.
- Ability to understand banking computer systems.
- Ability to enter data with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills.
