About the position

The Member Relations Coordinator at the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce is a dynamic role focused on enhancing member engagement and retention. This position involves representing the organization within the community, managing membership programs, and supporting the Membership Manager in achieving departmental goals. The Coordinator will play a key role in fostering relationships with current members and ensuring that membership benefits are effectively communicated and utilized.

Responsibilities

  • Strengthening relationships with current members
  • Ensuring renewal goals for the membership department meet or exceed the department budget
  • Keeping member engagement high by collaborating with the Membership Manager
  • Coordinating membership programs and events such as the Ambassador Program and Chamber Brief Meeting
  • Assisting the Membership Manager with monthly membership reporting and analytics
  • Maintaining administrative duties in the CRM database
  • Creating and maintaining retention systems to meet member retention goals
  • Alerting the department manager of necessary SOPs or process improvements
  • Meeting monthly renewal goals and optimizing engagement opportunities with members
  • Interacting daily with members to encourage engagement and use of membership benefits
  • Maintaining renewal call sheets and briefing the Membership Manager on noteworthy accounts
  • Assisting in recommending membership upgrade sales strategies
  • Identifying opportunities for sponsorships, event venues, and partnerships
  • Coordinating the Ambassador Program and Chamber Brief Meeting, including planning, communication, and logistics.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working within a CRM Database (GrowthZone)
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations
  • Strong sales, administration, coordination, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously
  • Flexibility in hours and responsibilities
  • Customer relations experience is a plus
