About the position

The Member Relations Manager at Soho House New York is responsible for ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for every member and guest. This role involves overseeing member interactions, managing events, and enhancing the overall atmosphere of the House. The Manager plays a crucial role in fostering relationships, addressing member needs, and ensuring that all aspects of their visit are optimized for satisfaction and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Support all departments with a strong member-facing presence on the floor, rotating around the House hourly to engage with members.
  • Oversee the implementation of Member Recognition, ensuring real-time follow-through with check-in flags from Reception.
  • Collect member feedback on service, food, atmosphere, and satisfaction during peak hours and large events.
  • Arrange and deliver special occasions for dining guests, ensuring memorable experiences.
  • Assist with events check-in and ensure members always come first, minimizing tensions or issues.
  • Create personal outreach moments for special occasions, enhancing member relationships.
  • Ensure a focus on member bedroom experience, checking for special requests and writing welcome notes.
  • Meet and arrange amenities for VIP guests, ensuring they know they have a dedicated contact.
  • Manage member behavior and special requests, maintaining clear behavior notes for follow-up.
  • Promote member events and drive attendance, tailoring experiences to member feedback.

Requirements

  • Experience in hospitality or hotel management.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.
  • Highly social and outgoing personality, valuing personal interactions.
  • Organized and efficient, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to take initiative and demonstrate passion for Soho House and its members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Micros reservation systems.
  • Knowledge of event planning and execution.
  • Familiarity with member engagement strategies.
