About the position

The Member Response Specialist at Educators Credit Union is responsible for providing exceptional service to members through phone and electronic communication. This role focuses on assisting members with their inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting additional products and services in a fast-paced environment. The position emphasizes building relationships and ensuring a positive member experience aligned with the credit union's core values.

Responsibilities

  • Assist members and potential members with their telephone and e-service requests.
  • Explain services, respond to problems, and direct phone calls to the appropriate area.
  • Utilize each call as an opportunity to connect with members and produce a 'wow' experience.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to educate members regarding additional products and services.
  • Maintain member account information on the computer system.
  • Prepare required reports and maintain appropriate records.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Good listening and telephone skills.
  • Ability to make decisions with minimum information.
  • Experience handling a high volume of telephone contacts while maintaining accuracy and friendly service.
  • Ability to work independently and display initiative.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer service or a similar role.
