About the position

The Member Service Consultant at GreenState Credit Union is responsible for acquiring, expanding, and enriching member relationships while providing exceptional service. This role focuses on meeting and exceeding sales expectations through personalized service, teamwork, and integrity, contributing to the overall mission of the credit union to create lasting value for its members and communities.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Credit Union Service Standards in carrying out GreenState's mission and vision.
  • Demonstrate a positive member service focus at all times, greeting members and guests with a smile and eye contact.
  • Ensure confidentiality of member information and account records.
  • Achieve high sales expectations by promoting all retail products and services.
  • Profile each member to uncover opportunities for additional business.
  • Structure loan applications and work with underwriters while adhering to lending policies and regulations.
  • Make weekly outbound sales calls to members to increase overall sales performance.
  • Accurately balance a cash drawer daily and understand all credit union policies and procedures for cash handling.
  • Build member relationships by recognizing their financial needs and meeting those needs with appropriate products and services.
  • Participate in promotions, contests, and other departmental activities that support team goals.
  • Perform vault duties including cash ordering, balancing, and drawer audits.

Requirements

  • At least three years of similar or related experience or 12 months in a successful MSA role.
  • High energy and sales ability with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize work assignments efficiently.
  • Demonstrate good time management skills to meet established deadlines.
  • Proficiency with related computer applications, spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications.
  • Proven relationship building skills and techniques.
  • Self-motivated with sound judgment and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to maintain composure and problem solve as they arise.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Must be bondable and registered pursuant to requirements of the S.A.F.E Act.
