About the position

Tinker Federal Credit Union's Choctaw branch is seeking a dedicated Member Service Officer to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with the largest and best credit union in Oklahoma. As a Member Service Officer, you will play a crucial role in assisting our members with various financial services, including opening new accounts, processing loan applications, and conducting both financial and non-financial transactions. You will also be responsible for providing access to safe deposit boxes and ensuring that our members receive the highest level of service possible. In addition to direct member interactions, you will assist in training other team members on essential topics necessary for their roles. This position is ideal for individuals who possess strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a passion for helping customers. The starting pay for this position is $21.36 per hour, with actual placement determined based on experience and internal salary equity. Responsibilities

  • Assisting members with opening new accounts
  • Taking loan applications
  • Performing financial and non-financial transactions
  • Serving members with various services provided at each branch
  • Assisting with providing access to safe deposit boxes
  • Training other team members on a variety of topics needed to perform their duties

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of applicable work experience in a closely related position
  • Knowledge of lending policies and procedures
  • Understanding of privacy procedures and confidentiality guidelines
  • Proficiency in cash handling standards
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations (Reg. CC, Reg. DD, Reg. J, Reg. D, Reg. E, Reg. B, Reg. Z)
  • Familiarity with the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, IRS rules for IRAs, and NCUA share insurance rules
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic office equipment
