About the position

The Member Services Representative at Planet Fitness is responsible for creating a positive member experience by delivering exceptional customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. This role is integral to the club's operations, ensuring that all front desk activities are handled efficiently while promoting a culture of health and fitness.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
• Handle all front desk related activities including answering phones and assisting callers.
• Check members into the system and facilitate new member sign-ups.
• Take prospective members on tours of the facility.
• Facilitate updates to member accounts as needed.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues to management as necessary.
• Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.

Requirements

• Customer service background preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• A passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability is a must.
• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers.
• Strong listening skills with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
• High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
