About the position

The Member Service Support Specialist at Southeast Financial Credit Union is responsible for providing prompt, efficient, and friendly service to members. This role involves assisting with financial transactions, explaining products and services, and addressing member inquiries. The specialist will support both branch operations and the member service call center, ensuring high levels of member satisfaction and adherence to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Branch Operations by accepting deposits and drafts, verifying cash and endorsements, and issuing receipts.
• Process deposits and loan payments received in the mail.
• Perform file maintenance for all deposit accounts.
• Process credit card payments and cash advances.
• Sell Visa gift cards and balance cash drawer at the end of each day.
• Assist members with opening and closing various types of accounts and process address changes, stop payments, and check holds.
• Accept loan applications and assist with general loan inquiries.
• Work in any branch in the region as needed, including floating to different locations.
• Provide support to the Member Service Call Center by answering calls, processing transactions, and resolving problems.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and sell services to members.
• Assist members with online/mobile banking questions and password resets.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience of 1 month to 12 months in a similar or related role.
• Ability to operate a 10-key calculator, typewriter, and computer keyboard.
