About the position

The Member Services Representative at American Airlines Credit Union is responsible for building positive relationships with members, understanding their needs, and recommending appropriate products and services. This role involves processing transactions, opening accounts, and ensuring compliance with regulations while fostering a culture of teamwork and service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Open new accounts and sell Credit Union services to members.
  • Post deposits and process loan payments.
  • Process various monetary transactions and maintain account information.
  • Perform Notary Services as required.
  • Create and promote positive name recognition for the Credit Union.
  • Work with branch/department managers to leverage cross-selling opportunities.
  • Research member inquiries and provide timely solutions.
  • Maintain awareness of all branch functions to provide proper support.
  • Implement and enforce internal control and security measures according to policies and regulations.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and service excellence within the organization.
  • Perform loan interviews, processing, and disbursement activities as assigned.
  • May work a rotating Saturday schedule depending on job location.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must have cash handling, sales, or a combination of customer service and financial institution experience within the last twelve months.
  • Ability to exercise excellent member service skills.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all employees and members.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and analyze data.
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree in business, finance, or related area.
  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience.
  • Previous experience in a service-culture environment.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish.
