About the position
The Member Services Representative is responsible for creating a positive experience for Planet Fitness members and guests by delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves various front desk activities, including member check-ins, answering inquiries, and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, all while fostering a welcoming environment in line with the company's Judgement Free Zone philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
- Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating to management as needed.
- Handle front desk activities including answering phones and assisting callers with inquiries.
- Check members into the system and facilitate new member sign-ups.
- Conduct tours for prospective members.
- Update member accounts as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the club, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and amenities.
- Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and clutter-free by following a routine cleaning schedule.
- Perform comprehensive walks of all club areas to address safety and cleanliness concerns.
Requirements
- Customer service background preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- A passion for fitness and health.
- Upbeat and positive attitude.
- Punctuality and reliability is a must.
- Exceptional customer service skills, able to interact positively with members and co-workers.
- Strong listening skills with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
- Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions.
Nice-to-haves
