About the position

The Member Services Representative at Bay Cities Credit Union is responsible for providing excellent service to members and assisting them with various banking transactions. This part-time role focuses on processing member transactions, cross-selling products, and maintaining a friendly and professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Processes member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, cashier's checks, transfers, loan payments, and account changes.
• Balances and maintains assigned cash.
• Opens new member accounts and products including checking, IRA, and loan referrals.
• Provides prompt, courteous, and friendly member service.
• Recognizes sales opportunities and refers members to appropriate departments when necessary.
• Attends training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on policies and procedures.
• Answers telephones in a prompt and professional manner.
• Performs back office duties as assigned, including general clerical tasks such as typing and filing.
• Assists members in obtaining information about their accounts and handles member complaints effectively.
• Maintains a neat work area and ensures marketing materials are up to date.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of cash handling experience
• 1 year of banking experience
• Basic math skills
• Basic English skills
• Computer skills
