About the position

The Member Solutions Advisor - Collections role is focused on managing member accounts within the Western Region Member Solution Department. The primary purpose of this position is to monitor overdue payments, contact members for payment processing, and maintain accurate account records. This role requires a strong understanding of collection practices and effective communication skills to negotiate and resolve payment issues.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor member accounts and identify overdue payments
  • Contact members for processing payments
  • Research and investigate historical data related to the member's account
  • Update account status records and collection efforts

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of collection experience in consumer finance
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Eligibility to be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and Registry
  • Working knowledge of credit, collection, and bankruptcy laws and regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sales-oriented negotiating and decision-making skills
  • PC skills to include word processing and spreadsheet applications

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree or coursework in the business field
  • NMLS registered
