About the position
The Member Solutions Advisor - Collections is responsible for managing member accounts, specifically focusing on overdue payments. This role involves contacting members to process payments, researching account histories, and updating records related to collection efforts. The position is integral to ensuring financial compliance and maintaining positive member relationships.
Responsibilities
- Monitor member accounts and identify overdue payments
- Contact members for processing payments
- Research and investigate historical data related to the member's account
- Update account status records and collection efforts
Requirements
- 1-2 years of collection experience in consumer finance
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Eligibility to be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and Registry
- Working knowledge of credit, collection, and bankruptcy laws and regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sales-oriented negotiating and decision-making skills
- PC skills to include word processing and spreadsheet applications
Nice-to-haves
- College degree or coursework in the business field
- NMLS registered
