About the position

The Membership and Community Outreach Manager at KRFC 88.9 FM is responsible for developing and managing relationships with donors and the community to support the station's mission of promoting local musicians and community programming. This role involves maintaining membership records, organizing fundraising efforts, and creating partnerships with local businesses to enhance community engagement and revenue generation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains all membership records through the CRM, including both current and historic records management.
  • Maintains other donation records systems such as Give Lively, Transaction Central, Paypal, and the CO Gives platform.
  • Organizes membership data and prepares reports.
  • Maintains revenue received from donations and other sources of revenue such as merchandise sold and virtual auctions.
  • Maintains general correspondence with listeners and donors including monthly thank you emails to recurring donors.
  • Creates and sends year-end tax letters.
  • Creates and sends Gift In Kind tax letters throughout the year.
  • Monitors interruptions in recurring donations and contacts membership to encourage renewing.
  • Maintains donation pages on the website.
  • Ongoing education and training of CRM and fundraising trends.
  • Assists in event and fundraising planning and development.
  • Creates membership promotional language.
  • Maintains record of member gifts and coordinates pick-up or mailing of items.
  • Assists in station tours for partners, members and listeners.
  • Manages annual virtual auction.
  • Maintains metrics spreadsheet for Grant Specialist.
  • Maintains Constant Contact database.
  • Creates mass emails in Constant Contact including monthly e-newsletter.
  • Creates and maintains event budget spreadsheets.
  • Maintains partners' logos drive.
  • Creates unique partnerships with local businesses to fuel their growth, our revenue generation, and position KRFC as a dynamic nonprofit dedicated to supporting the community throughout Northern Colorado.
  • Sustains and grows existing Underwriting accounts while providing outstanding account service.
  • Secures new Underwriting supporters from inception to close.
  • Coordinates trade components with Underwriters and vendors.

Requirements

  • Community outreach and marketing skills
  • CRM and donation records systems proficiency
  • Established connections within the Northern Colorado business community
  • Excellent writing and communications skills
  • Proficiency with MS office products
  • A valid driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance
  • The desire to work in a mission-driven environment
