About the position

The Membership Clerk is responsible for managing the front desk operations at the Boys & Girls Club, including handling memberships, answering phones, and maintaining daily attendance records. This part-time role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to multitask effectively while ensuring compliance with club rules and policies.

Responsibilities

• Record daily attendance through KidTrax, including manual scans and enforcing the use of scannable Club cards.
• Follow proper procedures related to the 'Safe Passage Policy'.
• Transmit KidTrax information nightly to maintain accurate membership statistics.
• Reception and registration of new memberships, including receiving applications and payments, taking photographs, and issuing KidTrax cards.
• Answer the telephone, take messages, and maintain a positive public image for callers.
• Greet visitors to the Club and direct them appropriately, ensuring they have visitor passes.
• Control the entrance to the building and act as the information center for questions about the Club.
• Market programs to members and parents, distributing flyers as needed.
• Enforce Club rules and policies to members, parents, and guests.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness at the front desk, including updating bulletin boards and signage.
• Assist with social media posts and Club happenings.
• Inventory and replenish supplies as needed, ensuring all materials are up to date.
• Participate in staff meetings and training as requested, and assist with Club-wide special events.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• 1 year of receptionist experience preferred.
• Ability to relocate to Deerfield Beach, FL before starting work.

Nice-to-haves

• Associate degree preferred.
• Some knowledge of Instagram and social media content creation.
