About the position

The Membership Database Administrator plays a crucial role in maintaining the functions associated with the WSIA member database, supporting the Assistant Director of Technology Operations with system upgrades or improvements, and managing day-to-day IT operations for WSIA staff. This position is essential for ensuring that all technology systems are functioning optimally and that the staff has the necessary support for their technical needs. The administrator will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining all desktops, laptops, tablets, and cell phones, overseeing the installation and maintenance of WSIA's network and Internet access, and ensuring the security and functionality of all operations related to association and membership data. In addition to technical support, the Membership Database Administrator will serve as a liaison with the Insurtech Committee, providing support for committee meetings and events. This includes managing the call for presenters, coordinating panels, and ensuring that all technical needs are met during onsite events. The role also involves maintaining third-party software tools, such as Office 365 and Adobe Creative Suite, and evaluating the fit of existing membership databases while leading the search for alternative solutions that integrate with other systems used by WSIA. The administrator will also be responsible for primary technical support for the WSIA website and member portal, ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly and efficiently. This includes leading project plans for website enhancements and providing support for the WSIA phone system and printers. The role requires a proactive approach to managing technology projects, including budget preparation and compliance with PCI requirements. Overall, the Membership Database Administrator is a vital position that supports the operational efficiency of WSIA and enhances the member experience through effective technology management.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot all desktops, laptops, tablets, and cell phones for WSIA staff.
  • Oversee installation and maintenance of WSIA network and Internet access, ensuring connectivity and functionality.
  • Support, maintain, and test WSIA backup and disaster recovery configurations.
  • Serve as staff liaison with the Insurtech Committee, providing support for meetings and events.
  • Travel to and provide on-site support for WSIA events, including technical support for pre-meeting badge printing and on-site attendee registration.
  • Maintain all WSIA third-party software tools, including Office 365 and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Evaluate existing membership database and lead the search for alternative solutions for integration with other systems.
  • Provide primary technical support for the WSIA website and member portal, resolving issues and leading enhancements.
  • Support WSIA team data needs, including dashboard creation, data analysis, and report preparation.
  • Manage PCI Compliance and ensure timely payments to third parties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; and at least five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage technology projects from research through implementation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds when packing/moving materials associated with WSIA activities.
  • Experience with web content systems and enterprise-wide backup solutions.
