About the position

The Membership Engagement Coordinator at The Advancement Collective is a part-time role focused on enhancing member engagement and organizing events within a women's membership network. This position is crucial for maintaining a vibrant community experience and involves proactive communication, event planning, and coordination of guest speakers. The role is designed for individuals who are organized, self-motivated, and passionate about community-driven initiatives, with a commitment of approximately 20 hours per month.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with members on Slack, sharing motivational messages and facilitating discussions.
  • Research and reach out to potential speakers on LinkedIn for monthly presentations.
  • Identify and secure complimentary venues in the Houston area for member events.
  • Schedule events on the group calendar and ensure notifications are sent out.
  • Send follow-up emails for speaker outreach, venue booking, and event RSVPs.
  • Send reminders for upcoming events and confirm RSVPs with attendees.
  • Address miscellaneous tasks to support membership experience and event success.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in membership management.
  • 1 year of experience with Slack.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in event planning or community management.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn and networking platforms.
