About the position

The Membership Financial Analyst at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) plays a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of the Global Membership department. This position involves budget development, forecasting, and financial analysis to support the organization's mission of conserving lands and waters. The Analyst will collaborate with leadership to create reports, interpret financial data, and identify process improvements, all while ensuring adherence to TNC's financial policies and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, tracking, and reporting of the Membership budget and projections.
  • Collaborate with Global Membership Leadership to develop the annual budget and monthly re-projections for revenue and expenses.
  • Provide regular and ad hoc reports, as well as analysis and interpretations of results.
  • Identify ways to improve budget and re-projection processes and spearhead initiatives to implement change.
  • Develop and oversee five- and ten-year forecasting for each country in collaboration with the Analytics team.
  • Administer and maintain finance activities in accordance with TNC policies and procedures.
  • Respond to requests for information from across the organization and provide advice and training related to Membership finances.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • 4 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience with relational databases and financial reporting systems.
  • Experience designing and generating reports and analyzing data.
  • Demonstrated experience working across cultures and countries.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including complex pivot tables and advanced formulas.
  • Experience with data visualization tools.
  • Experience developing, managing, and implementing goals, plans, and complex processes.
