About the position

The Membership Financial Analyst at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) plays a crucial role in supporting the Global Membership department by managing budgets, forecasting, and conducting revenue and expense analysis. This position involves creating complex reports and providing interpretive analysis to leadership, ensuring that financial strategies align with the organization's mission to conserve lands and waters. The Analyst will collaborate with various teams to optimize financial processes and tools, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Membership program.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, tracking, and reporting of the Membership budget and projections.
  • Collaborate with Global Membership Leadership to develop the annual budget and monthly re-projections for revenue and expenses.
  • Provide regular and ad hoc reports, along with analysis and interpretations of financial results.
  • Respond to complex questions and problems related to direct response marketing and Membership program strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for improving budget and re-projection processes and implement changes.
  • Work with the Analytics team to optimize budget and reporting tools and build finance data models.
  • Oversee the five- and ten-year forecasting for each country in collaboration with the Analytics team and Membership Leads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in financial analysis or a related area.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with direct response marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with budget management and financial forecasting tools.
