About the position

The Membership Coordinator at NJPAC is responsible for executing and growing a multi-channel membership program, focusing on annual fundraising campaigns targeted at approximately 1500 members. This role involves collaboration with various departments and managing vendor relationships to enhance membership engagement and revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement annual membership campaign timelines, including fall and spring acquisitions, monthly renewals, and special calendar and fiscal year-end appeals.
  • Serve as lead contact with vendors that execute direct mail, list purchasing, premiums, and more.
  • Analyze data and identify trends to improve existing campaigns and develop new revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date print, on-site, and web copy and collateral promoting membership and its benefits.
  • Maintain accurate revenue reporting.
  • Assist in the maintenance of member biographical data in Salesforce, including accurate member recognition.
  • Prepare mailings, invitations, and email correspondence to members.
  • Expedite timely and accurate member benefit fulfillment, including managing member priority alerts, planning member events, and facilitating pre-sales and discounts.
  • Work closely with the head of loyalty services for outreach campaigns via phone for upgrades, renewals, lapsed, and acquisition campaigns.
  • Manage all creative requests for membership materials in WRIKE, including email and design needs.
  • Facilitate materials and copy for collateral design promoting membership and its benefits.
  • Manage tabling for membership acquisition.
  • Work closely with the Manager of Individual Giving on attendee lists for membership events.
  • Manage and monitor income and expense budgets, including tracking invoices and submission for approval.
  • Manage the postage account with the mail house.
  • Manage Amex bills for the Marketing department.
  • Work closely with the institutional communication and creative services team to design and implement all materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of broad-based fundraising and/or marketing experience; direct mail program experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to advance multiple activities and responsibilities at one time.
  • Growth mindset, and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven aptitude for working with data, with attention to accurate data entry and manipulation (Excel skills test will be required).
  • Self-starting, assertive, results-oriented personality with an ability to work with a wide array of personalities.
  • Strong customer-service mindset, with the inclination to troubleshoot and solve problems and maintain a high-level experience for NJPAC members.
  • Attention to detail combined with a high productivity work style.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Experience with Salesforce software, preferred.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
  • Experience in the arts, preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, required.
