About the position

The Membership Sales & Customer Service Associate at Massage Envy McCandless plays a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience and driving membership growth. This position focuses on providing exceptional service to both members and guests, promoting wellness programs, and supporting the overall mission of the spa. The associate will engage with clients, convert guests to members, and maintain a positive and clean environment, all while embodying the core values of the Massage Envy brand.

Responsibilities

  • Answering phone calls.
  • Setting and checking members and guests in and out for appointments.
  • Greeting members and guests upon arrival.
  • Promoting the Wellness Program.
  • Re-engaging inactive members.
  • Keeping management apprised of member concerns and following manager's policies, procedures and direction.
  • Accepting constructive criticism in a positive manner and using it as a learning tool.
  • Upholding the Massage Envy brand's core values of optimism, gratitude, excellence, consistency and empathy.
  • Staying updated on retail products and promotions.
  • Recognizing and supporting team goals and creating and maintaining positive relationships with team members.
  • Providing support for the spa by maintaining a clean environment.
  • Explaining the benefits of regular body care (massage, stretch and skin care) to clients.
  • Helping to grow the business by creating relationships with clients and providing exceptional customer service skills.

Requirements

  • Customer service orientation and passion for the beauty and wellness industry.
  • Previous retail or sales experience is a plus.
  • Integrity and commitment to championing the well-being of members and guests.
  • Solid math and computer skills, with confidence in handling cash.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills, making everyone feel valued and supported.
  • Ability to think critically, juggle multiple tasks, and set priorities.
  • Team player who can work well in a fun and fast-paced environment.
  • General knowledge of massage and skin care services.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous customer service experience.
