About the position

The Membership Services Coordinator at the New York Athletic Club plays a vital role in supporting the Membership Services Office by acting as a liaison to members regarding all aspects of their membership. This position involves assisting members during their election process, handling inquiries related to billing, transfers, and reinstatements, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations within the Membership Office.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to membership e-mails and calls
  • Assisting with the election process, including candidate proposal entry
  • Preparing monthly board items and processing
  • Conducting new member orientations
  • Handling transfers, resignations, and reinstatement requests
  • Providing club tours to prospective members
  • Assisting with the Prospective Members' Receptions
  • Managing membership roster data entry and filing
  • Supporting membership and intra club events, including check-in
  • Handling intra club billings and sign-ups
  • Creating membership and intra club ads and email campaigns
  • Following up on payments
  • Preparing for monthly interviews
  • Performing any other general duties assigned.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
  • Experience with payroll processes
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Capability to handle a high volume of calls and e-mails
