About the position

The Membership Staff at Bronson Lifestyle Improvement & Research Center is responsible for promoting the Bronson Athletic Club and its benefits to potential members. This role involves generating revenue by increasing awareness of the facility in the Kalamazoo area through targeted outreach, follow-ups, and maintaining a professional demeanor to engage with both current and prospective members effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the value of Bronson Athletic Club to potential members.
  • Generate revenue by increasing awareness of the facility in the Kalamazoo area.
  • Research and produce lists of target demographic areas for outreach.
  • Create and mail enticing documents to prospects.
  • Follow up with leads through email, personal notes, and phone calls.
  • Contact previous members with information about promotions and programs.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor to be approachable and knowledgeable.
  • Process new members in the system and facilitate their onboarding.
  • Generate reports in Jonas Software/Microsoft Excel for promotional mailings and follow-ups.
  • Work with Sales Director to develop demographic target lists and member retention programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or 3-5 years of sales/customer service experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience in Publisher and POS systems is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a customer service or sales environment.
  • Familiarity with health and wellness industry.
