About The Position

The Memory Care Director at Charter Senior Living is responsible for leading the Memory Care Neighborhood, ensuring the implementation of the Flourish Memory Care philosophy. This role involves overseeing daily operations, training staff, and ensuring compliance with program standards and regulations. The director will work collaboratively with the management team to enhance residents' lives through therapeutic programming and support, embodying the mission of enhancing the human spirit.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience working with seniors, with at least one year in dementia care.
• Experience leading programs and handling complex behavioral issues related to dementia.
• Associates degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Certifications such as Activities Director Certification, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, or Certified Dementia Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Champion the Flourish Memory Care philosophy and core values of Charter Senior Living.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Memory Care Neighborhood.
• Train and develop staff in compliance with program standards and state regulations.
• Plan and implement therapeutic programming and entertainment for residents.
• Achieve occupancy development goals and ensure quality service delivery.
• Manage Memory Care resident care associates in partnership with the Health and Wellness Director.
• Handle complex behavioral issues and educate staff and families on dementia-related topics.
