The Harmony Square Director (HSD) is a pivotal role responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the Harmony Square neighborhood within Harmony Senior Services. This position entails overseeing non-clinical compliance with community standards and state regulations, ensuring that all operations align with the highest standards of care and safety for residents. The HSD plays a crucial role in managing resident safety, behavior expressions, daily routines, activities of daily living (ADLs), and life enrichment programs that cater to the various dimensions of wellness, including Movement & Motion, Curiosity & Culture, Feelings & Fellowship, Clarity & Purpose, Compassion & Connection, and Leadership & Volunteerism. The HSD is also the process owner for implementing and overseeing the Harmony Square points of distinction, ensuring that the community provides a nurturing and engaging environment for its residents. In this role, the HSD will conduct interviews, orientations, coaching, and ongoing training for Harmony Square team members, adhering to associate training standards and regulatory guidelines. The HSD will supervise and direct team members, including Life Enrichment Assistants and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs)/Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), in collaboration with the Healthcare Director. A significant aspect of the role involves developing, planning, and implementing purposeful resident programs that enrich the lives of residents and their families, including organizing outside trips and events. The HSD will partner with the Life Enrichment Director to hold monthly planning meetings to prepare for upcoming programs and coordinate necessary supplies. The HSD will lead 3-4 high-quality, innovative programs daily and plan weekly outings, continuously assessing resident needs in partnership with the community clinical team. This includes participating in Resident/Family Care Conferences and utilizing local community resources to enhance the resident experience. Building relationships with residents and families is essential to encourage participation in programs and events, promoting a high level of satisfaction. The HSD will also ensure that all aspects of dining are met through collaboration with the Director of Dining and Healthcare Director, complete state-required care plans, and partner with organizations like the Alzheimer's Association to facilitate support group meetings. Leadership skills are vital for coordinating care across various disciplines, including life enrichment, clinical, and dining services, while maintaining a stimulating environment that promotes safety and well-being.
