About the position

The Mental Health Administrator 5 (Director of Performance Improvement) at Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare is responsible for overseeing performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing plans to ensure compliance with accrediting agencies, promoting continuous monitoring of quality standards, and coordinating with various departments to enhance operational effectiveness. The position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to improving mental health services.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Performance Improvement/Quality Assurance Director for Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement and quality assurance plans on a system-wide basis.
  • Examine current QA/PI plans and policies, making recommendations for changes and solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with accrediting agencies such as The Joint Commission and CMS.
  • Promote a continuous state of survey readiness through implementation of survey readiness plans.
  • Review and draft policies to assure compliance with standards.
  • Coordinate management of national benchmarking data and develop methodologies for implementation.
  • Supervise Peer Review Nurses to ensure quality of care and compliance with standards.
  • Provide administrative oversight of the Health Information Department.
  • Assess training needs for staff and prepare clinical training proposals.
  • Complete performance reviews and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee budget and overall operations of the department.

Requirements

  • Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration or mental health technology.
  • 12 months of experience in the area to be assigned or equivalent qualifications.
  • Completion of graduate core program in public administration or business administration is acceptable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in mental health administration at a senior level.
  • Familiarity with OhioMHAS and TJC standards.
