About the position

The Mental Health Care/Direct Care Professional at Reach To Win Youth Home & Family Services Inc. is responsible for providing direct supervision and support to youth residents aged 12 to 17 in a Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP). The role focuses on improving the quality of life for these youth by ensuring their safety, managing behaviors, and fostering a nurturing environment. The position requires a dynamic leader who is committed to the well-being of the residents and can work effectively within a clinical team and adhere to facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and support to youth residents individually and in groups.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the residents in accordance with applicable laws and facility policies.
• Implement behavior management strategies in a therapeutic environment.
• Engage with youth to develop rapport and provide emotional support.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to meet the needs of the residents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an Associate's degree with relevant experience.
• CPR Certification.
• Driver's License.
• Experience working with children, particularly those with trauma backgrounds (1 year required).
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and mental health counseling.
