About the position

Playful Minds Counseling is seeking licensed and associate mental health clinicians to provide counseling and support services in a collaborative and supportive environment. The role emphasizes community connection and offers flexibility for remote work, with opportunities for mentorship and involvement in various projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mental health counseling and support services to clients.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Facilitate individual, couples, family, and/or group therapy sessions.
  • Attend biweekly staff meetings.
  • Participate in collaborative projects to enhance the organization's offerings.

Requirements

  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Associate (LMHC/LMHCA), Marriage and Family Therapist or Associate (LMFT/LMFTA), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker or Associate (LICSW/LICSWA) in Washington State.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Interest in working within a collaborative community of mental health professionals.
  • Investment in cultural humility, anti-oppression, and de-colonizing the therapeutic space with ongoing training and development.
  • Experience in conducting psychotherapy sessions and crisis interventions.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing and facilitating courses, podcasts, and group projects.
