About the position

This entry-level position involves providing a wide range of clinical psychosocial services under the supervision of licensed professionals. The role focuses on evaluating psychosocial needs, offering counseling, education, and advocacy, and collaborating with care teams to support patients with mental health and addiction issues. The position is integral to ensuring that members receive comprehensive care and support to maintain their independence and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Confers and consults with supervisor regarding members' progress and treatment.
  • Provides appropriate support to members' families, including treatment explanations and adherence instructions.
  • Utilizes resources from public and private agencies to meet members' treatment needs.
  • Participates in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Reports safety concerns to mandated reporting agencies.
  • Develops, implements, coordinates, and evaluates plans of care for members with mental or addiction illnesses.
  • Participates in staff conferences for care coordination and treatment program evaluation.
  • Instructs and counsels patients and families regarding compliance with treatment plans.
  • Completes all documentation of members' treatment and progress according to regulations and standards.
  • Provides consultation to care teams and health educators on mental health and addiction matters.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Marriage and Family Therapist Associate License (Washington) OR Mental Health Counselor Associate License (Washington) OR Licensed Social Worker Associate-Independent Clinical (Washington).
  • Prior completion of a practicum or internship in a clinical setting.
  • Familiarity with DSM-V TR for diagnosis.
  • Experience in assessing a broad range of psychosocial needs and treating psychiatric and/or addiction conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards related to member treatment.
  • Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice and psychotherapy research methods.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks/objectives in a timely manner.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous clinical responsibility including crisis intervention.
  • Experience working in a medical setting with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience working with electronic health records.
