About the position

This position is responsible for providing clinically therapeutic programs and treatment in the inpatient behavioral health units. Under the supervision of the manager/director and in collaboration with multidisciplinary treatment team, the Mental Health Professional (MHP) is responsible for providing various modalities of treatment from a trauma informed clinical model that can include group, individual and family therapy. The MHP is responsible for the psychosocial interventions established in the patient treatment plan. The MHP will use their education and training to assist in stabilizing and treating patients during their stay on the unit. The MHP provides feedback and input to the multidisciplinary team regarding their assessment of the patient strengths, capacities, and responsiveness to the treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinically therapeutic programs and treatment in inpatient behavioral health units.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Deliver various modalities of treatment including group, individual, and family therapy.
  • Implement psychosocial interventions as per the patient treatment plan.
  • Assist in stabilizing and treating patients during their stay.
  • Provide feedback and input to the multidisciplinary team regarding patient assessment.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other mental health related field from an accredited school.
  • LCSW with the state of Oregon required.
  • Licensure as an LICSW in the state of Washington required as needed based on work location(s).
  • Master's Degree in Recreational therapy from an accredited school or candidacy status.
  • CTRS national credential is required.
  • Licensure in accordance with the appropriate Oregon state board is required.
  • Master's Degree in Creative/Expressive Arts from an accredited school or candidacy status.
  • Eligibility for licensure as LPC or LMFT in accordance with the appropriate Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists.
  • LPC or LMFT licensure with the appropriate Oregon state board is required.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in an inpatient mental health setting.
  • Experience with adult population preferably in an inpatient setting for Adult Unit.
  • Experience with child/adolescent population preferably in the inpatient setting for Child and Adolescent Unit.
  • Experience with geriatric population preferably in an inpatient setting for Senior Unit.
