Responsibilities
- Provide mental health counseling to patients in an acute inpatient psychiatric unit.
- Collaborate with team members, physicians, and other departments.
- Problem-solve and establish priorities while maintaining a calm demeanor in a high-demand environment.
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in one of the social sciences such as psychology or sociology.
- At least one year experience as a Mental Health Counselor or its equivalent in an acute inpatient psychiatric unit.
- Basic Life Support certification required at hire.
- Integrative Agitation Management (IAM) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Previous Nurse Aide/Tech experience.
