About the position
Ohio Psychiatric Services and TMS Center (OPS) is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Counselor/Psychotherapist to provide individual and family therapy services to adolescents and adults. The role involves working with clients referred by internal and external providers to address various mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, grief, and behavioral issues. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, motivated, and trustworthy, contributing to a compassionate team of mental health professionals.
Responsibilities
- Planning, coordinating, managing, and implementing treatment plans to help clients address their presenting concerns
- Assessing clients' current condition, needs, strengths, and weaknesses
- Providing individual and family therapy services to adolescents and adults
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
- Collaborating with other mental health professionals to coordinate care as needed
- Staying educated on the most current evidence-based practices
- Participating in provider and other team meetings
- Coordinating with front office and administrative staff
Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in behavioral health care profession
- Must hold appropriate licensure as required by the State of Ohio to provide clinical services (LSW, MSW, LISW, or LPCC)
- Experience working in an outpatient setting
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches for depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and behavioral issues
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
